A History of Texas Music - The Gruene Hall
Gruene Hall, a bar and dance hall, was built in the 1880’s andsoon became the social center for the community. It still stands at the end of Hunter Road and the intersection of GrueneRoad. It is oldest dance hall in Texas and many country-singingstars and legends have performed there over the years. Willie Nelson, George Strait, Jerry Jeff Walker, Lyle Lovett are someof the well-known singers. A complete list of the singers is displayed inside the hall.

Heck yeah, Gruene Hall is a real piece of Texas music history! Not sure if The Weary Boys ever played there, though I wouldn't be surprised, they are a modern age throwback to classic roots country styles here in Texas!
